Pride of Piqua History. The Piqua Central High School Marching Band was formed by H.O. Ferguson in the Winter of 1916. The marching band participated in April of 1917 at a parade in Troy in uniforms consisting of red sweaters, dark trousers and white caps. Phillip P. Gates dedication and contribution to the marching band as well as the entire music program established a fine tradition. This musical heritage has carried over to other band directors who have given the Piqua kids a life-long apprec.Phil .PARSED CONTENT
