Over the past few months I have taken a fancy to QRP portable operation. It has been a big thrill for me to go to a local park or forest and throw up and antenna to see what stations I can work with 5 watts. Plastic would probably be better for water resistance, but a metal box will be fine if you keep it dry.
I have been helping out the fine folks at the Indiana repeater council as an assistant coordinator. I have a repeater on the air now 442. I have been playing around with photography lately here is a nice skyline of Chicago I took. Our Annual Porter county Swapfest had a pretty good turnout and of course it did rain.
