En buss fylt med bøker, tidsskrifter, lydbøker og tegneserier. Det er litt trist at det må slutte nå. oktober 1951, og turen gikk til Hallingdal. Langs veien stod forventningsfulle barn og voksne. Stemningen var hektisk og spent. Ivrige barnehender grep etter billedbøker og andre bøker.
